Houston Airports welcomes record number of travelers during extended July 4th holiday
Summer air travel is gaining speed. As more people prepare to fly, the TSA offers simple tips to get through security quickly and efficiently.
During the extended Independence Day weekend, George Bush Intercontinental Airport and William P. Hobby Airport welcomed a combined 80,460 passengers June 30 and a combined 78,987 passengers on June 29. The passengers were counted by the Transportation Security Administration as passengers cleared security.
Houston Airports is bracing for an increase in passengers throughout the summer. Based on some of the most recent trends at the nation’s airports, TSA recommends the following simple tips to get through the TSA security checkpoint quickly and efficiently:

More than two dozen airlines operate out of Bush Airport; five airlines operate out of Hobby. When more than one airline services a popular destination, passengers have options on pricing and service, if they’re willing to do a little research.

700 reasons to be excited about the new international terminal at Bush Airport
The largest capital improvement project in the history of Houston Airports includes expanding Terminal C’s garage parking. Houston Airports is addressing growth from inside out. Construction teams are hard at work adding two new levels to the existing Terminal C parking garage, for a total of 8 levels. This will allow for more than 700 additional parking spaces in the Terminal C garage by summer 2024. Airport guests can also access the Terminal A/B garage. READ MORE
